'A' for effort, but can he keep up the pace?

Oh my, things are getting interesting.

WK18 has wrapped up, and Sitch is feeling the heat on the back of his chiseled neck.

"You can say that again" said Sitch, mid dead lift. "I can't relax for even a second. Everyone's creeping up on me. I can barely get a spoonful of rice in me without being bumped from behind!"

Sounds like a Japanese porn star if I've ever heard one. Here are the stats, courtesy of the stats machine:

Sitch still retains the number one ranking, but it was Safari who took home the most points this week with 156.70, just edging out second-place Burgundy who had 150.40. Safari put on an absolute show this week, amassing big points from his forwards and picking up a couple of shutouts from his goalies.

Adds McGuire: I'm in shock, to be quite honest, about the shutouts. Does he have good goalies? Yes. Does he play them well? Yes. But would I expect to see him with twice - sometimes three times! - as many shutouts compared to other select-GM's? Absolutely not. He's a monster with 14 shutouts this season, and we're only 60% of the way through!

Given the massive points accumulations this week, Safari and Burgundy were the most improved PPGP select-GM's: both increased their PPGP by +0.03; Safari now sports a 3.17 PPGP while Burgundy flexes a 3.18. Sitch still leads overall with a 3.25.

"Go fuck yourself, Sitch Diego!" said Burgundy.

Calm yourself, Burgundy.

The Rainbow is telling Commissioner Randy that Burgundy needs some serious help in the goalie department. But, it's also important to note that Burgundy has played about 20 fewer goalie games than Sitch and Safari, so his stats may change significantly should he cash in on the games in hand. His goalie statistics are overdue for a run, and we might just see that in the next two weeks.

"Ebbs and flows, bitches," said Burgundy.

No change to the rankings, though Sitch has now been at the top for 11 weeks consecutive.

"Hazzz!" screeched Sitch.
